BACKGROUND:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the advertising/media industry or web development
  • A relevant degree or tertiary qualification
  • Proven expertise in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, JSON, and Git
  • Exposure to Node JS and Google Cloud Platform nice to have
  • Experience using web inspections tools, such as Charles, Fiddler or Chrome Developer Tools
  • Knowledge of agile working principles nice to have
  • Familiarity with advertising technologies such as ad servers, DMPs, SSPs, DSPs advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using analytics and research data

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Join us at NZME for a dynamic role in Ad Tech. As our Ad Tech Developer, you’ll play a key part in supporting and to help grow NZME’s Digital Advertising infrastructure. You will establish yourself as the main technical point of contact, assist in new product releases and continuously maintain & develop our advertising technology infrastructure. Expect a mix of technical support, consultation, research, QA, and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Ad Tech, Commercial and Ad Operations teams to discover and implement new ad products. Work closely with the data team to design and deploy new services on Google Cloud Platform
  • Technical Support & Consultation: Provide expert-level support to resolve complex ad server issues, particularly in Google Ad Manager. Act as a technical advisor to Audience Specialists and Product Managers.
  • Ad Tech Repositories: Maintain and develop core Ad Tech files, formats, and utilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards. Keep the repositories operational and accessible.
  • QA & Testing: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks across our websites, mobile apps to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience.
  • Support the growth of audience-driven revenue.
