Are you an experienced ADA Accommodations Specialist looking for a challenging new role? Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional to manage a heavy caseload of ADA accommodation cases and serve as a subject matter expert for t heir team. This is a temporary position that requires a strong background in accommodations, with a focus on facilitating interactive discussions with leaders and providing expert guidance to ensure legal compliance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience supporting ADA accommodations within a Human Resources team.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of ADAAA, FMLA, HIPAA, and other relevant state and federal employment laws.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a heavy workload.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Healthcare Management.
  • Experience: Experience in a large employer setting with multiple leave of absence programs.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems like PeopleSoft and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Responsibilities

Location & Schedule

  • Hybrid Schedule (if converted): Our hybrid schedule involves both in-office and remote days.
  • In-Office: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with every other Monday being remote).
  • Remote: Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

What You’ll Do

As an ADA Accommodations Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for all disability-related accommodation inquiries. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide expert consultation on ADA-related employment laws, staying current on all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Managing the Interactive Process: Review clinical documentation, lead interactive discussions with employees and leaders, and negotiate appropriate, legally sound solutions.
  • Case Management & Documentation: Accurately document all ADA cases in compliance with legal standards and company procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with facility leadership, HR Business Partners, legal teams, and risk management to resolve complex cases.
  • Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to HIPAA, maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
