Job Description IDIADA is seeking a highly motivated technical engineer with extensive expertise in automotive projects and the field of connected and automated driving technologies. Position Overview Based at IDIADA's China Proving Ground in Zhaoyuan, you will work with a dynamic team of test engineers and software engineers at international level. In this role, you will support automotive manufacturers throughout their ADAS development process, providing technical guidance on testing methodologies, Safety Regulatory compliance, and performance evaluation. This role combines technical leadership with project management excellence, focusing on Automated Vehicle and ADAS development projects while supporting strategic business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Technical support & advisory: • Provide expert guidance on testing methodologies, validation strategies, and best practices • Support OEM customers during development phases with advice on testing methodologies and validation strategies • Provide guidance on international regulatory assessment principles and evaluation criteria • Assist with target setting and performance benchmarking for ADAS features • Deliver customized technical trainings to customer engineering teams Customer engagement & On-site Support: • Travel frequently to customer R&D facilities to provide technical advisory, function confirmation, compliance verification with international safety protocols, and deliver specialized trainings • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions on testing procedures and regulatory requirements Project & Client Management: • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and relationship management • Maintain comprehensive progress monitoring and reporting • Manage all project documentation and deliverables • Support business development activities in coordination with product managers Qualifications Required Qualifications Professional Experience: • 5+ years of proven experience in ADAS technologies, including design, development, validation, and testing • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing technical advisory or consulting roles • Knowledge in: o Overall ADAS function architecture and integration o Advanced sensor technologies o Control systems and algorithms o Feature integration and optimization • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements • Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience • Familiarity with Euro NCAP protocols and experience interpreting automotive safety regulations Core Competencies: • Excellent communication skills with confidence in multi-level stakeholder engagement • Strong empathy, team spirit, and assertiveness • Goal-driven, results-oriented mindset with exceptional service orientation • Adaptability to work in an international, multicultural environment Education: • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering • Specialization in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Telecommunications Language Requirements: • Fluent English (essential) • Additional languages considered an asset Additional Information Applus IDIADA is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
