Description
Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Understand the design of collision avoidance, low speed maneuvering, parking, trailering and camera feature code in the ADAS ECU. Lead development vehicle builds and program prototype vehicle issue resolution for feature development and validation. Integrate and configure models and other software packages with a variety of production and other in vehicle hardware to enable early feature-level in vehicle verification. Perform and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal and external suppliers to ensure accurate performance of ADAS features, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems on development fleet vehicles. Lead and support development of test methods to evaluate true positive, false positive and real-world performance criteria. Lead feature validation for mature and carryover features during multiple software train spot-checks or program sign-off. Lead validation of overlapping feature functions within collision avoidance, low-speed maneuvering, parking, trailering and camera features. Support development of feature Design Verification Methods and Design Verification Plans. Determine acceptance criteria for design verification test methods. Support feature validation issue root cause, analysis, and resolution. Work with the larger team to fix issues for production. Support the development of Matlab scripts, tools, and GUIs used in prost processing and analyzing feature performance. Lead and support feature calibration to support overall performance requirements. Work with the Ford Hardware in the Loop Team to establish CAE procedures to reduce dependencies on vehicle level testing. Collaborate with the module teams that make up the overall distributed feature including ABS, PCM, IPC, AND AHU to ensure system level function and requirements are met. Validate and verify in-vehicle testing and data acquisition tools to assess feature performance for track testing and endurance run applications. Lead validation of shared interfaces among features and/or distributed modules to ensure system level function and requirements are met. Develop Feature requirements within the JAMA requirements management tool. Develop Feature FMEA within the MagicDraw environment. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Using vehicle communication networks including CAN, Ethernet and diagnostic protocols including UDS to troubleshoot and validate ADAS feature integration. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Experience with ADAS feature validation, including developing test methods, defining acceptance criteria, and performing root cause analysis of issues. 2. Translating stakeholder needs and operational concepts, informed by principles including EnCoSE, into traceable and verifiable system requirements, ensuring alignment between the system's purpose and its technical implementation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Conducting in-vehicle ADAS feature validation, including accurate data collection and use of Ground Truth reference tools including RT/RT Range and 4A Test Systems.
