We’re Hiring: Addiction and Mental Health Supervisor
Location: Brantford, ON | Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours/week, primary Monday to Friday with one evening shift until 8 p.m.

The Concurrent Disorders Program provides assessment, support planning, individual/group counselling, outreach, referrals to Day and Bed Based Treatment and continuing care services to individuals experiencing substance use or a concurrent disorder, who reside in Brantford and Brant County.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide staff with administrative and clinical supervision
  • Develop and evaluate program activities
  • Facilitate and/or participate in department case management meetings
  • Monitor referral and intake activities
  • Provide direct client service consisting of individual and group support for individuals supporting a loved one who is struggling with substance use or a concurrent disorder.
  • Participate in Agency recruiting process, including interviewing and initial training
  • Liaise and collaborate with direct community partners
  • Monitor data quality and support program improvement

What You Bring

  • Diploma in a Social Services field, with a University Degree in Social Sciences preferred
  • Current Registration in good standing with a governing body related to the program (i.e.: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in related field
  • Leadership experience in community mental health setting is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, clear and consistent documentation and attention to detail
  • Experience with using clinical modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Skills in mediation, conflict resolution, and/or leadership training
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and compassionate approach to your work
  • Ability to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client database systems
  • Access to reliable transportation and flexibility in work hours
