Your Opportunity:
The successful candidate will provide residential clients day, evening and weekend support through crisis intervention, recreational activities, assisting with other programming components and facilitating clients’ attendance at self-help meetings. For the purpose of supervision and responsibility the candidate will formally report to the Supervisor – Residential Treatment Teams; however, in the absence of Supervisor and in crisis response situations or for situation direction, the candidate will consult with the Detox Charge Nurse during the after-hours portion of their shifts. NOTE: Only selected candidates will be contacted for interviews. There are five (5) positions available. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:
As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
