Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled, client and family centered, team oriented, welcoming and engaging Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Northern Addictions Centre. The Addictions Counsellor III will provide clinical services to clients, including group counselling and some individual counselling to clients with gambling, alcohol, and other drug problems. You will also conduct assessments, provide case management, aftercare planning, and deliver psycho-educational sessions to treatment clients, using best practice guidelines. This role also monitors and evaluates client progress and achievement of recovery goals and adapts treatment plans as needed. As an Addictions Counsellor III, you will utilize your relationship building skills with clients, families, and colleagues. NOTE: Only selected candidates will be contacted for interviews. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
