Description REACH Health Services of the Institutes for Behavior Resources, Inc. (IBR), seeks a FULL-TIME ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR to join its team. This is your opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering critical health programs and resources to a diverse Baltimore-based clientele in a trauma informed environment. Primary responsibilities include: Providing compassionate individual and group counseling, and case management for individuals with substance use disorders Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalized treatment plans that support recovery goals Delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed, and harm reduction–focused care Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate, timely documentation to support quality care Empowering patients through recovery-focused education and whole-person health awareness Coordinating care by connecting patients to internal services and community resources Supporting access to care by managing insurance authorizations and funding requirements Promoting patient safety by monitoring impairment and conducting screenings as needed Facilitating groups and contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered clinic environment Actively participating in treatment team meetings, supervision, and program initiatives Upholding patient rights, confidentiality (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2), and organizational values in all interactions Work Schedule: This is a full-time position working on-site Monday through Friday. Pay & Benefits: In compliance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, IBR is committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The annual salary for this position is $52-60k, commensurate with experience, education, and certification level. Requirements Education and Experience: Current certification in good standing with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors in one of the following categories: Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT), Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD), Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD), Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC); or Current licensure in good standing with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners in one of the following categories: Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker -Clinical (LCSW-C) Strong knowledge of substance use disorder diagnostics (DSM-5, ASAM) and evidence-based treatment approaches. Understanding of regulatory requirements, including confidentiality, research standards, and medication-assisted treatment. Familiarity with community resources and support systems for patient care. Other Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including medical terminology. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build ethical, therapeutic relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems. Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by regulatory agencies.
