JOB SUMMARY

The Addiction Counselor plays a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This position involves assessing clients’ needs, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support and counseling. Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate clients’ substance use issues and mental health status.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support recovery efforts.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic support.
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery processes, and available resources.
  • Engage in data collection and research activities to improve treatment practices and outcomes.
