POSITION SUMMARY

The Additive Manufacturing Technician plays a vital role in the daily operations of the 3D printing production environment, responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of additive manufacturing equipment. This hands-on position ensures that printed parts meet precise specifications through careful monitoring, post-processing, and collaboration with quality and engineering teams. The technician performs machine upkeep, prepares materials, and carries out finishing processes such as media blasting and sanding, all while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Working closely with packers, trainers, supervisors, and quality personnel, the technician contributes to a team-driven culture focused on delivering high-quality, on-time production in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.

  • 1st Shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00PM – 11:30PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00PM – 7:30AM

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, or related manufacturing processes (preferred but not required)
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and appreciation for building and working with materials in a production environment.
  • Motivated to learn and grow within the field of advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Prior experience using inspection and metrology tools/equipment (preferred, not required)
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems
  • Basic clerical skills, including inventory tracking and part packaging, as needed.
  • High School diploma or GED (required)
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 3D Printer set-up (filling and mixing resin cassettes, loading and unloading powder carts, scheduling and sending prints to printers)
  • Cleaning, washing, and preparing parts for thermal processing Follow standard operating procedures to meet safety and quality needs Performing daily machine maintenance duties; cleaning, scheduled preventative maintenance, and general repairs.
  • Secondary Processing (media blasting, sanding, and general assembly work). General facility maintenance, including the following 6s processes to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Collaborating with the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Occasional clerical duties such as managing inventory or packaging parts
  • Will help meet weekly metric goals including but not limited to: printer utilization, on time delivery, quality, revenue
