POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Additive Manufacturing (AM) Materials and Process Engineer you’ll be at the forefront of aerospace and AM technologies. ADDMAN Advanced Metals has been actively innovating across various alloy classes utilizing namely laser powder bed fusion technology. You’ll lead the development of new processing strategies for materials ranging from ultra-high temp refractory alloys to functional soft magnetic materials and everything in between. This role will oversee internal development projects, government sponsored research, and customer material and part qualification campaigns. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with internal and external customers on design of experiments, working internally or with suppliers to non-destructively and destructively characterize and test materials or feedstocks, analyzing and reporting data to inform customers and future development efforts. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a rapidly growing world class engineering team, interfacing internally with program managers, application engineers, technicians, machinists, quality champions, and company leadership.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations
  • Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to take ownership of and complete efforts within budget and schedule
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Science Degree in Materials Science or related field
  • Previous Additive Manufacturing Experience
  • High degree of proficiency in materials testing and characterization.
  • Experience with laser powder bed fusion equipment.
