The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is one of the top 15 mechanical and aerospace engineering schools in the world. With well-established industry partnerships, MAE provides an active and vibrant research environment with excellent R&D infrastructure and numerous opportunities for research funding. The school has an enrolment of over 2500 undergraduate students with over 90 faculty members and 140 full-time research staff working in well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories. A growing research student population of over 400 is also actively engaged in strategic research and development work.

Applicant Profile:

  • Possess a relevant PhD degree from a reputable university.
  • Have a strong research track record, with postdoctoral experience being advantageous.
  • Demonstrate expertise in precision robotic manipulation, intelligent manufacturing, and autonomous systems.
  • Have a proven record of securing competitive research grants and leading interdisciplinary projects.
  • Possess extensive industry and academic networks to support research collaboration and technology commercialization.

The duties assigned are subjected to mutual agreement between the Adjunct Professor/ Adjunct Associate Professor and MAE, which may include the following:

  • to contribute toward undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and research projects;
  • to attend the meeting and provide suggestion to MAE’s undergraduate and graduate students;
  • to participate in co-supervising PhD and undergraduate students in MAE;
  • Advise and support faculty members in identifying suitable funding opportunities and developing competitive research grant proposals for programmes and various industry-related grants;
  • Guide faculty in the technology commercialisation process, including the development of industry-relevant applications and prototypes and technology transfer activities;
  • Give seminars to NTU community to promote knowledge sharing through active exchanges
