The College of Health, School of Nursing, seeks applications for potential adjunct clinical faculty for the following areas: Medical-surgical Nursing Mental Health Obstetrics Pediatrics Job Description Cleveland State University seeks to build a pool of persons qualified to teach Clinical Nursing Courses in local hospitals or clinical sites. Adjunct faculty are professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Cleveland State University students with hospitals and clinical sites. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning. Each adjunct is hired to guide students and facilitate learning in the clinical setting. Supervise a group of 6-8 CSU ABSN students onsite in the clinical setting Grade all course assignments and complete clinical evaluation paperwork Clinical hours are typically 8–12 hours per day Create a supportive learning environment conducive to attainment of clinical objectives Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethics in the clinical setting Promote evidence-based practice Hold a minimum of 1-2 virtual office hours each week for grading Qualifications Must have an active, unencumbered RN license in Ohio Bachelor's degree in Nursing required At least 2 years of clinical experience in the subject area Must have reliable transportation to clinical sites Applicants will be required to submit a cover letter addressing position qualifications, current CV and names and contact information of two references.
