Job Description
The Department of History, Philosophy, and Geography is seeking one or more part-time adjunct faculty at Texas A&M University-San Antonio for the Fall 2025 semester. The successful candidate(s) will teach introductory courses in Geography. This includes sections of GEOG 1301 “Physical Geography and Meteorology” and GEOG 1303 “World Geography.” Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments are in face-to-face format and include daytime classes.
Salary: $3,000/course

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Geography, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 18 completed graduate course hours in Geography, or a related field.
  • Experience with teaching undergraduate Geography classes.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with non-traditional, first-generation students.
  • Completed Ph.D. in Geography.

If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
