POSITION OFFERED: Adjunct Teaching Faculty – Paralegal EMPLOYMENT DATE: 08/24/2026 - 12/11/2026 TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Adjunct, Non-renewable JOB DESCRIPTION: Instruct PARA213 – Constitutional Law This course is a survey of issues involving U.S. Constitutional Law, including the content and history of the Constitution and its amendments, landmark Supreme Court decisions, the relationships among political institutions, civil rights and liberties, commerce and property rights, and criminal justice and rights. Information is presented from legal and historical perspectives. A student successfully completing this course acquires some proficiency with the scholarly study of law and its application. Teaching assignments may involve teaching day, evening, online, hybrid, and HyFlex courses. Adjunct instructors will be expected to: • Provide excellent teaching and instruction • Create, submit, and follow a syllabus that aligns with the course’s Master Course Syllabus • Use the Learning Management System to provide course materials to students • Be available to students through office hours, timely grading, and responsive communication • Read and abide by the policies listed in the Teaching Manual • Submit all records by their respective deadline, including progress reports, student concern notices, and grades • Understand and enact mission and values of TC3, and the equity, diversity, justice and inclusion plan. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in legal studies or a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school. Applicants must have current and active practice in law or teaching, or possess substantial prior experience in the field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching in an accredited higher education institution, especially a community college, is preferred. Currently practicing law, experience working with law office staff, including paralegals. EXPECTED HIRING SALARY RANGE: For Adjunct Faculty, rates are found in the most recent adjunct contract. For each credit, the Fall 2026 entry pay rate is $1,146 - $1,209 dependent upon qualifications. Review of applicants will begin ASAP. NOTE: This is a part-time (Adjunct) faculty position.
