Position Information Title: Adjunct Faculty, PsyD Program Department: School of Education and Behavioral Sciences Exempt Part time II. Position Summary The responsibilities of this position comprise of teaching in-person graduate level courses in the PsyD Program curriculum. As an Adjunct Faculty member, the post holder is expected to perform all duties professionally, is expected to remain current in the discipline and pedagogy and ethically support the policies and mission of the University. III. Reports to: Direct Report to: Dean of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences IV. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct in-person instruction and training to students of the PsyD Program * Prepare course material and activities * Provide feedback and assessment of student performance * Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment * Keep abreast of developments in the field of clinical psychology and incorporate new knowledge into the curriculum as appropriate * Attend departmental meetings and participate in faculty development activities as required V. Education and Experience Minimum * Doctoral degree and license in Clinical Psychology or a related field * Prior teaching experience * Prior assessment and therapy experience Preferred * Doctoral degree and license in Clinical Psychology or a related field * Teaching experience in higher education * 5+ years of clinical practice VII. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body at all levels of the university * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, learning management systems (e.g. Canvas), and other programs related to teaching, learning, advising, and assessment * Strong knowledge of clinical psychology, diversity, and ethics. * Familiarity with educational technology and ability to use it to enhance student learning * Organized with meticulous attention to detail * Dedication to providing high-quality education to students * Familiarity with educational technology and ability to use it to enhance student learning * Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources * Ability to meet deadlines * Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality * High integrity and ethical standards VIII. Physical Requirements Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and require a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. IX.
