  Job Description: Adjunct, HVAC Department: Student Learning and Success                                                                                                                                                            Pay Classification: PT Reports To: Program Coordinator of HVAC                                                                                                                                                              FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom, laboratory, shop, or other learning environment. Minimum Required Education:                                          Associate degree and industry certifications preferred.  ---------------------------------------- Minimum Required  Experience:                                        Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught preferred. ---------------------------------------- Core Duties and  Required Knowledge:                      Acts as a resource for instructional and curricular issues.                                                       Maintains course syllabi.                                                       Teaches assigned classes and fulfills all instructor responsibilities.    Maintains work area, shops, labs, and/or equipment in safe and sound condition.    Submit all paperwork in an appropriate and timely manner.    Working knowledge of ACGM, WECM, and GIPWE.                                                       Adheres to guidelines and regulations of external agencies and maintains required licenses and certifications.                                                               Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).     Ability to operate instructional technology and learning management systems.                                                                                                            Working knowledge of Hill College vision, mission, values, and Code of Conduct.                                                                                                                Working knowledge of the policies and procedures of Hill College.   ---------------------------------------- Strategic Vision and  Program Development:                  Ability to develop and implement long and short-term strategies aligned with institutional goals.                                                      Ability to lead and manage change effectively.                                                                                                               Ability to develop and execute plans independently and collaboratively. ---------------------------------------- Collaboration:                                  Collaborates with faculty and Dean to develop and revise courses and curricula.                                                      Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all. The use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.
