The Centre for English Communication (CEC) is an academic support unit that delivers a suite of English communication courses to fulfill its mission of ensuring excellence in the teaching and learning of written and oral communication in English. Specific to this position, the Adjunct will provide personalised support to enhance the English proficiency of students, enabling them to effectively engage with the demands of university writing assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching students, tracking student progress, providing feedback, and delivering regular updates and contributing to a final programme report. We are looking for individuals who: have a demonstrable awareness of current pedagogy have experience in teaching a wide range of English courses at the tertiary level have displayed a commitment to student-centered teaching have demonstrated the ability to motivate students have experience in teaching students with varied abilities Additionally, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience: M.A. (English Language) and/or other relevant qualifications Experience in teaching undergraduate or postgraduate writing courses Only applicants who are successful will be notified.
