Description
The School of Sport Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on a per-course basis, contingent upon programmatic need. Courses may be delivered in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. The School offers 15 undergraduate and graduate degree programs and is committed to student success and preparing graduates for careers in sport, health, and performance-related fields. Instructional needs may include, but are not limited to: applied anatomy, sport biomechanics, and sport physiology; esports business and entertainment; health, wellness, and physical activity; physical education and kinesiology; sport coaching; sport, exercise and performance psychology; sport leadership; sport management; and strength and conditioning. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed as needs arise. Compensation is determined per course. These positions are typically not benefits-eligible; however, eligibility may vary depending on instructional load and departmental need. A master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline is required. Evidence of effective teaching in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats is expected.
