POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Dhaliwal-Reidy School of Accountancy is hiring an Adjunct Lecturer to teach one section of ACCT 440: Financial and Managerial Accounting in Healthcare course to be offered in person, for our main campus platform. The School is seeking individuals who bring a combination of industry experience and teaching excellence from an AACSB accredited university. Applicants should be able to work with diverse students and colleagues.
Course preparation will take place during the Fall 2025 semester, from August 18, 2025, through January 4, 2026. The course itself is scheduled to run during the Spring 2026 semester, approximately from mid-January to mid-May.
Initial instruction will be limited to the Spring session only, with the possibility of additional teaching dependent upon departmental need.
This position is located on main campus and will require an in-person modality. The selected candidate must be able to be physically present on campus to teach the course and perform other duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters in Accounting or Tax, at an AACSB accredited institution.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience teaching accounting courses at the college level.
  • Experience using a course management system such as D2L.
  • Experience grading and providing feedback to students.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Bring industry experience and teaching excellence for instruction of ACCT 440: Financial and Managerial Accounting in Healthcare.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and teach healthcare accounting concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite applications.
  • Use a course management system such as D2L to deliver course content, grade materials, and provide meaningful feedback to students.
