Sussex County Community College is seeking and adjunct instructor to teach Theater Arts courses in Acting I and Acting II on our Newton campus.
All instructors are responsible for teaching their assigned courses using a departmentally established course outline based on the master syllabus and assessing the course learning outcomes on the syllabus.
Qualified candidates must have:
Master’s degree (or current enrollment in a Master’s program) in from a regionally accredited institution
Currently working AEA actor who has experience teaching acting classes.

Additional Qualifications:

• Stage Movement and Stage Combat training a plus.
• Vocal training
• Ability to partner across departments and with the regional communities.
• 2+ years teaching experience is strongly preferred (especially at the collegiate level).
• Experience teaching college level Acting classes is greatly preferred.

The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or a similar learning platform is preferred.
Adjunct pay is based on $892 per credit hour.
