Core Responsibilities Theoretical Frameworks Integrate Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring into clinical instruction and student practice. Incorporate QSEN competencies (Patient-Centered Care, Teamwork, Safety, EBP, Informatics, QI) throughout clinical teaching. Instruction & Supervision Apply the nursing process across all student learning experiences. Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations and ensure clinical competency. Teach evidence-based, cost-effective, safe nursing practices in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Professional Standards & Evaluation Maintain BRN approval as Instructor, Assistant Instructor, or Clinical Teaching Assistant, meeting all licensure and experience qualifications. Evaluate student performance and provide coaching and remediation as needed. Participate in audits, curriculum development, and continuous quality improvement efforts. Collaboration & Research Foster collaborative clinical environments with peers and healthcare teams. Encourage evidence-based practice and mentor students in nursing research. Leadership & Professionalism Demonstrate professionalism through attendance, dress, and conduct. Participate in safety programs, risk management, and compliance with confidentiality policies. Qualifications Qualifications Current CA RN license; BLS required, ACLS/PALS as needed. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (as appropriate for position level). Minimum 2 years clinical experience; specialty experience preferred.
