POSITION SUMMARY:  Mid-America University is seeking a part-time faculty member with experience in teaching either in person or online for undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and accounting. The candidate must have a strong Christian background. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Teach courses within the School of Business as assigned by the Chair and/or Finance and Accounting Program Director * Provide quality instruction by following the instructor’s agreement contract criteria for performance * Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. * Effectively communicate with the Chair and/or Finance and Accounting Program Director regularly * Perform other such duties as may be deemed appropriate QUALIFICATIONS: * Must possess excellent communication, both oral and written, and organizational skills necessary for the position * Must possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with individuals and groups * Must be flexible in scheduling, * Demonstrate effective teaching skills * Prefer teaching experience in teaching finance and accounting courses. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * Doctorate in business or related field in finance or accounting preferred, must have at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in finance or accounting. COMPUTER SKILLS: * Experience with interactive computer programs (e.g., Zoom) * Experience with either Canvas, D2L, or Blackboard- MACU utilizes Canvas PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
