UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Administrative Assistant – Associate to support the Infusion Center! We are looking for an organized, team player who will have responsibility for scheduling, insurance verification, mail order delivery, and infusion volumes. This position will work 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Hours are subject to change based on business needs. Under direct supervision, the Associate Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support to a department or group of professionals. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, managing calendars for physicians, scheduling patients/physicians at multiple locations, obtaining prior authorizations, utilizing EPIC, and handling a high volume of patient inquiries per day. This position supports a very collaborative scheduling team for GI clinic visits and OR procedures and spends most of the day interacting with patients via phone call. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, provides general administrative support to a department or group of professionals. Orders office supplies and maintains office equipment. Helps supervisor and department prepare presentations (i.e., edits, prints, basic formatting functions). Performs routine clerical functions, such as copying, sorting, filing, and typing. Assists in researching, drafting, and/or abstracting routine reports. Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and messages. Maintains supervisor's calendar (i.e., schedules meetings and recurring events, schedules large conference rooms, orders food, ensures applicable equipment is available and ready for a meeting, may take meeting minutes). Greets, screens, and directs visitors to an appropriate staff member. High School diploma or equivalent. Up to one-year administrative experience preferred. Previous work experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Working knowledge of EPIC preferred. Previous scheduling experience preferred. Strong phone/overall communication skills are highly preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
