Description

The Pain Rehabilitation Team Admin Assistant will provide administrative support to the Pain Rehabilitation Clinical Team ensuring an effective and efficient service is delivered.
There is a need to work flexibly between sites.

They will provide a tying service, demonstrate good organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.

  • Work closely with all grades of clinical and administrative staff
  • Empathy and tact when dealing with patients that may be angry or upset regarding any aspect of their care.
  • To communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ensure requests for further information are actioned promptly
  • Deal with patient/carer telephone calls and enquiries
  • Record clinic outcomes accurately
  • Arrange meetings/appointments for patients and relatives
  • Open and act on correspondence received
  • Undertake a variety of office duties to ensure the efficient and effective support to the department.
  • Assist with updating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all aspects of the administrative pathway that supports the Pain Rehabilitation Team.
