The post holder will be responsible for a range of administration duties to support the Pennine Breast Screening Programme and the symptomatic breast imaging service. Will be the first point of contact for our service users, working in our busy admin office and reception desk within the Breast unit.
As part of the administration team, provide a central administration base to facilitate the organisation and collection of all necessary data within guidelines provided.
Deal with enquiries from service users over the telephone, wanting to change appointments or requesting information. Supply information to internal and external enquiries regarding the screening procedure or schedule, this may include GP practices and other screening offices.
Using the PC based NBSS system follow procedures and protocols to enter specific screening data conforming to all aspects of the ‘Right Results’ process and Quality Assurance as per national, regional and local guidelines as data may affect national statistics for the Unit.
Manage own daily workload to ensure completion of all tasks within an agreed time frame. Assist in the production of information for daily clinics.
Undertake reception or any other appropriate duties that are required to ensure the smooth running of the screening service.
Carry out administration duties within Breast Services Symptomatic Department. This will include data entry (resource and reporting) using the Radiology Information System (CRIS); producing letters for appointments. Dealing with user enquiries and appointment confirmation telephone calls.
Undertake further training in line with service requirements.
