POSITION OVERVIEW

The Document Controller will manage, organize, and maintain all project-related documents to support our construction operations. The role requires excellent English communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and familiarity with construction documentation processes. Candidates must be on a husband-sponsored visa and available to work near Ibn Battuta Mall.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Document Controller in the construction industry, with knowledge of construction documents (e.g., RFIs, shop drawings, BOQs).
  • Visa Status: Must be on a husband-sponsored visa, with a valid UAE residence visa and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the sponsor.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written English skills for clear communication with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or similar).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight construction project deadlines.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, team-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and standards (e.g., Dubai Municipality guidelines) is a plus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Location: Must be based near Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai, or able to commute daily.
  • Availability: Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period.
Responsibilities
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital construction documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, permits, and correspondence.
  • System Maintenance: Manage document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, or SharePoint) to ensure accurate and accessible records for construction projects.
  • Distribution and Retrieval: Distribute project documents to site teams, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring timely access and retrieval.
  • Compliance: Ensure all documents meet UAE construction regulations, project standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to construction industry protocols.
  • Coordination: Liaise with project managers, architects, and site supervisors to streamline document flow and support project deadlines.
  • Audit Support: Maintain document logs and registers, and assist with internal and external audits for construction projects.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive project documents (e.g., contracts, financial records) with discretion.
  • Reporting: Prepare status reports on document submissions and updates for project teams.
