Job Advert – Somalia/Somaliland Country Office Title: Admin/HR Assistant ROLE PURPOSE: The Admin/HR Assistant is accountable for providing quality and efficient HR and administrative support to the Somaliland Programme in the Burao Field Office and provide support to the HR and supply chain team in accordance with Save the Children’s corporate policies. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Field Manager Staff reporting to this post: 2 Staff Location: Burao Dimension of Role: Save the Children has been working in Somalia/Somaliland for more than 60 years. The Country Office has over 500 staff across. In 2022, as a result of significant scale up for the countrywide drought response, our annual spend FY2017 was US$117 million and we reached more than 2 million people through our humanitarian and longer-term development work in Health, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Child Protection and Child Rights Governance. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES: Essential College Diploma/Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Secretarial Science and or Office Management. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills Minimum of one year of experience as a Human Resource, Administration or in similar fields. Good English Language Command. Good computer and writing skills. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible, working away from home, and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances. Experience of and ability to work of all administration related issues and any other job assigned by the line manager To be flexible and high teamwork personality.
