Description

The Venue

The Belmore Hotel is one of Maitland's leading privately owned venues, recently renovated to set a new standard for customer experience in the area. We operate a busy restaurant, excellent gaming facilities and a thriving bar trade, catering to everyone from a quick business lunch to a great night out with friends.

The Role

We're looking for an organised, creative and detail-driven Admin & Marketing Officer to join our team 20 hours per week. This dual-focus role blends day-to-day administrative and accounts support with hands-on marketing coordination, making it ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys keeping multiple moving parts on track.

On the admin side, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office, from onboarding and accounts support to general administration. On the marketing side, you'll co-ordinate the delivery of marketing activities across social media and digital communications — working closely with the team to keep projects moving efficiently while ensuring all content is accurate, polished and consistent with the brand.

This is a great opportunity for someone confident managing competing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Administration

  • Assist with the payroll and onboarding process for all new employees
  • Provide accounts support (payable and receivable)
  • Complete data entry as required
  • Provide administration support as required to other staff
  • Undertake general office duties

Marketing

  • Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of marketing activities across hotel marketing and social media platforms
  • Manage marketing requests, timelines and competing priorities to ensure projects progress efficiently and deadlines are met
  • Plan, schedule and publish regular social media content, including events, specials and campaigns
  • Coordinate the production and ordering of marketing materials.
  • Create fast-turnaround social media and digital content when required
  • Proofread and quality-check marketing material before publication or production
  • Maintain organised marketing files, templates, schedules and supporting resources
  • Provide marketing coordination and administrative support across a range of platforms, events and ad hoc projects

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an administration support role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (advantage)
  • Experience using Canva
  • Experience creating and managing content across social media platforms
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and eDM creation
  • Strong written communication, proofreading and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting demands
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Confidence communicating with different personalities and following up stakeholders
  • High-level computing skills using the MS Office suite
  • Proven ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Preferred: qualification in Office Administration

This role offers an immediate start for the right candidate. It's a rare opportunity to take on a large, well-established venue with a strong following — if you're ready for your next challenge, apply now.

About the Role

  • School hours / flexible working hours will be considered for the right person
  • A varied, hands-on role combining essential administrative support with creative marketing work
  • Join a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
