ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY: A former manager, senior manager, coordinator (principal licensed), or assistant director brought back for a special project or initiative for a central department at Jeffco Public Schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the development, execution, and completion of special projects or initiatives as assigned by the school district.
Apply expertise from previous roles to ensure the project aligns with district goals and standards.
Collaborate with project teams to share insights, best practices, and recommendations that support the initiative’s success.
Prepare detailed reports, summaries, or presentations as needed.
Work closely with district administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts and ensure the project’s success.
Maintain open lines of communication, providing updates on progress and addressing any challenges that arise.
Identify and address any issues or barriers that may impede the success of the project.
Adapt strategies and approaches as needed to meet the evolving needs of the district and the project.
Maintain accurate records of all activities, decisions, and communications related to the project.
Ensure that documentation is thorough, organized, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Work on a flexible, hourly basis as determined by the needs of the project, with a focus on delivering high-quality contributions within the agreed timeframe.
Be available for consultations, meetings, or other project-related activities as needed.
EXPERIENCE Prior experience at Jeffco Public Schools as a manager, senior manager, assistant director, or coordinator (that required principal license).
EDUCATION AND TRAINING Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred field of study related to content area.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS May require Principal License from the Colorado Department of Education for central instructional roles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Comprehensive knowledge of specialized area of previous role. Familiarity with the school district’s policies, relevant regulations, procedures, and organizational structure. Understanding of project management principles. Knowledge of data collection methods, statistical analysis, and reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with project teams, district staff, and stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions. Critical thinking skills for analyzing complex situations and making informed decisions. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a short-term role. Flexibility to take on various roles and responsibilities as needed to support the project. High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the project work. Ability to produce thorough and well-documented reports, materials, or recommendations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to use hands to handle and feel;, reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Must be able to access shelving and storage areas. Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision (with corrective lenses). Must be able to direct or lead students to safety in the event of an emergency or drill.
