Description This role is focused on physical and access security across Unilode’s MRO operations. The Admin/Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding facilities, assets, and people by managing on-site security and ensuring compliance with aviation and national regulatory requirements. The role works collaboratively across functions and geographies, including with IT Security and QHSE teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to enterprise security. While the role contributes significantly to digital and quality/compliance-related security matters, accountability for these specific domains remains with the respective functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Physical Security Policies Business Insight, Drive Results, Collaborate, Ensure Accountability, Financial Acumen, Action-Oriented Create and update security policies covering access control, surveillance, and emergency procedures. Coordinate with IT Security and QHSE teams to ensure alignment with overall security standards. Ensure all physical security protocols are practical, scalable, and compliant. Oversee Facility Security Operations Customer Focus, Collaborate, Ensure Accountability, Action-Oriented Manage site access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and secure asset storage. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and mitigate risks. Supervise external security providers and conduct vendor performance reviews. Oversee AEP/TAEP issuance as per BCAS guidelines. Verify staff credentials and maintain records of authorized personnel. Monitor access control systems for restricted areas. Ensure Regulatory Compliance Customer Focus, Drive Results, Ensure Accountability Lead compliance with all relevant aviation and government security regulations, including BCAS and ICAO. Serve as point of contact with local security authorities and audit bodies. Maintain records and prepare documentation required for compliance reviews. Lead Business Continuity and Incident Preparedness Collaborate, Courage, Drive Results, Action-Oriented Co-develop security-related business continuity plans in collaboration with relevant teams. Conduct scenario planning and training for physical security incidents. Coordinate emergency responses and post-incident reviews. Support MRO Administrative Security Activities Customer Focus, Collaborate, Ensure Accountability Manage relevant MRO security inboxes, tracking customer order documentation. Ensure all administrative workflows related to access, authorisation, and surveillance are updated and auditable. Support and Develop Regional Best Practices Develops Talent, Collaborate, Courage Share learning across sites and regions to elevate security performance. Mentor site teams in the implementation of compliant security measures. Provide guidance and training where necessary to raise awareness and capability. Requirements Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aviation) or a relevant discipline would be preferred. Valid AVSEC Instructor Certificate (BCAS) • Strong knowledge of BCAS, ICAO, MOCA, and related regulations Experience in aviation security within airlines, airports, or ground handling environments Expertise in physical security system design and implementation (CCTV, access controls, alarm systems) Experience protecting sensitive operational and customer data Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) – Category 12 Certification. Experience in aviation security, including exposure to regulatory compliance, audits, and operational security functions.
