Description The Admin Specialist position is responsible for cattle and commodity feedyard administrative functions. This position will receive training from the ground up on all aspects of administration at the feedyard offices. This position requires high attention to detail; excellent organization; communication and time management skills. Requirements Cattle Record Keeping Process feed, vet and processing charges daily. Process all cattle movement transactions including receipts, shipments, out of programs and deaths in Turnkey and AccuTrac. Prepare breakevens and lot folders on all customer cattle. Order and enter medicine; perform medicine inventory and verify pricing. Run final feed invoices and closeouts. Initiate the closeout review process and distribute once approved. Maintain accurate and up to date yard sheet in Turnkey and AccuTrac. Complete all weekly and monthly reporting requirements. Maintain complete and up to date files of all cattle lots in DocuWare. Commodity and Payable Record Keeping Operate commodity scale. Commodity contract creation, approval, distribution and maintenance in the commodity contract tool and in Turnkey. Daily input of commodity tickets into Turnkey. Commodity accounts payables. Weekly commodity scheduling, ordering and quality control. Complete the monthly commodity inventory and ration pricing processes. Weekly reporting. Monthly fuel inventory. Trade payable entry and vendor statement reconciliation. Qualifications Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge and ability to learn feedyard accounting systems (AccuTrac and Turnkey). Prior bookkeeping experience preferred. Must be organized, self-motivated and hardworking. Good problem solving and analytical skills. Likes to work with numbers. Task oriented individual. Flexibility and interest in learning all aspects of the feedlot industry. Must be a team player.
