EDUCATION:

  • High School Graduate/Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ years of secretarial experience required, healthcare experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems.
  • Knowledge of office management practices.
  • Knowledge of secretarial procedures.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.
  • Skill in computer applications.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication.
  • Skill in gathering and reporting information.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, external agencies.

Responsibilities

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Supports market level leaders in administrative aspects

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Analysis of new patients and surgeries by referral source and referring physician.
  • Doctors Days Out reporting.
  • Next Available reporting.
  • Employee events.
  • Coordinates physician recruiting schedules.
  • Maintains Peer Review Committee documents.
  • Mail sorting.
  • Orders supplies for Plano.
  • Coordinates guest schedules.
  • Coordinates meals for Exec Committee.
  • Prepares any reports I need for Exec.
  • Provides secretarial support including typing, composing and proofreading correspondence,
  • indexing and filing documents.
  • Answers inquires or refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
  • Compiles reports from data and existing records.
  • Gathers information and develops summaries as requested.
  • Assists with development and implementation of budget and operational plans.
  • Develops and implements office procedures related to coordination of interoffice communication,
  • records, system.
  • Ensures adequacy of office supplies and equipment.
  • Schedules/coordinates meetings, appointments. Make travel arrangements.
  • Assists other staff as requested.
  • Attends meetings as assigned and reports on actions.
  • Participates in educational activities and programs.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Maintain appointment calendars as needed.
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
