OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll department by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll systems and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position is essential for maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in payroll software such as Sage and Profile or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and their integration with payroll functions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time using payroll software.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in payroll data.
  • Assist in analyzing payroll reports and identifying discrepancies.
  • Support accounts receivable functions related to payroll deductions and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure proper documentation for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
  • Utilize Sage timekeeping and payroll processing.
  • Provide clerical support by filing, scanning, and organizing payroll documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
