Your role at St John of God Ballarat We are seeking applications for an Administration Assistant to join our Emergency Department team on a casual basis for a nightshift position. Shifts will be rostered Monday to Sunday, 10:00pm to 08:00am. Day shifts may be offered when available. You will primarily be responsible for providing high-level administration support to the Emergency department administration team and other teams when applicable. The Position Provide sensitive management of the reception area, dealing with patients and other stakeholders who inquire about the service and welcoming patients who come for appointments. Manage the telephone lines and sensitively handle telephone calls from patients. Assist with patient account payments Receipt payments as per directed by the Front Office Manager for accounts in relation to services pertained. Answer all incoming calls. Place ISD, STD and Mobile calls. Ensure that the telephone system is maintained Operate switchboard from ED when rostered outside of visiting hours, train ED reception on after hours switchboard operation and assist ED reception when able. Successful applicants will have advanced skills and knowledge with a range of computer packages, particularly Microsoft Office, demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent interpersonal skills.
