ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT - OPERATIONS

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly organised administrator with a Certificate III in Business (Office Administration) or equivalent experience, have proven skills in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
You will have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality support to multiple operational teams. Local Government experience, minute taking, and knowledge of systems such as Technology One or ELO are desirable, along with a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To provide accurate and timely administrative and secretarial support to Roads, Water, Sewer, Waste and Development Engineering departments;
  • To liaise with customers and contractors and provide excellent customer service support for the Roads, Water, Sewer, Waste and Development Engineering departments;
  • To implement processes to ensure the effective and efficient flow of information and documentation relevant to each department including updating Council’s electronic record management system;
  • To cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of Mid-Western Regional Council;
  • Other duties as directed by the supervisor not exceeding the skill level of the position; and
  • To actively promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment Statement.
