Description

PURCHASING ASSISTANT

To support the Purchasing Manager as required, including but limited to:

Formulate and issue purchase orders:

  • Stock
  • Cloth
  • Stationery
  • Repairs/Consumables

Formulate and issue cloth to manufacturers:

  • Formulate and issue purchase orders to cloth suppliers.
  • Cut cloth and fabric as required at Lyn Oakes and send to suppliers.
  • Ship cloth directly from supplier to manufacturer

Order Management:

  • Maintain diary of open orders/expected delivery dates of key stock lines.
  • Manage cyclical stock order creation/submission to suppliers.
  • Undertake/manage cyclical stock takes and manage/adjust quantities on Opera.
  • Be point of contact for updates to sales team on order specific enquiries.
  • Manage/Maintain supplier costs/product codes on Opera system.
  • Match delivery notes to invoices/update Opera Purchase Orders as required.

The Successful Purchasing Assistant must have the following skills/experience:

  • A positive can-do attitude and great team player
  • Strong IT skills
  • Very task focused, diligent and organised
  • Ability to quickly build strong, valuable working relationships
  • Keen eye for detail
