Job Description We are seeking a flexible, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our busy hospital on a casual basis as an Administration Assistant. You will be responsible for the management of patient records, appointments and procedures and processing patient invoices and receipts. You will also be responsible for effectively performing administrative duties in line with our Ramsay Core Values to meet the needs of our customers and clinicians. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a well-presented with highly developed communication and organisational skills. The role requires someone who can remain calm, organised and resilient in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will also bring the following: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of staff—both clinical and administrative—as well as a diverse group of patients Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is not essential but highly desirable Strong problem-solving skills Exceptional customer service abilities Strong organisational and time-management skills High level of attention to detail Strong computer literacy - the ability to navigate multiple IT systems quickly and accurately Ability to work autonomously Experience with hospital patient administration systems or private practice software (desirable) Understanding of private health insurance and patient billing (desirable) What’s in it for You?
