JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our small team here in Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our office operations, ensuring that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires a proactive individual with strong computer skills and excellent phone etiquette, who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous office experience would be an advantage, however, full training will be given.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication
  • Must be reliable with excellent time keeping skills.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain good customer service over the telephone and face to face.
  • Manage incoming calls and emails with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring customer orders are taken and dealt with efficiently.
  • Deal with internet orders and arrange haulage collection.
  • Ensuring customer records are kept up to date to include information gained by our drivers from the customer when making the delivery.
  • Be quick to learn our bespoke computer package for ordering.
  • Have attention to detail when taking cash and carry payments when using the cash register and card machine.
  • Support team members with various administrative tasks as required
  • Ensure the office environment is tidy and well-organised.
  • Be prepared to work on a Saturday morning.
