Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm
+ a Saturday once trained which is paid at an overtime rate which is 7:30am till 12pm
Pay Rate: 12.85 - With overtime available

JOB DESCRIPTION - ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT - MATERNITY COVER

As the first point of contact for customers, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the business’ success, through building strong customer relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring we can meet them. The position is advertised as temporary to cover maternity leave.

  • Proficient IT skills with working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel with a high level of accuracy and speed when inputting numeric data
  • Experience in invoicing would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given
  • Previous experience in Waste Management / Skip operations is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Administration Assistant, your primary duties will be to manage the weighbridge operations, answer inbound calls, take sales orders, promote the business services and deal with customer enquiries/queries.

Responsibilities include:

  • General administrative duties including being first point of contact for customers answering the telephone/emails, portraying an excellent company image to encourage repeat business
  • Take orders accurately including associated administration, inputting the details onto the computer system
  • Be proactive in promoting the full product range (cross promotion) to all customers by identifying customer needs
  • Liaise with customers assisting with enquiries, requests and concerns, resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Invoicing
  • Various other activities associated with a busy transport office
  • Work alongside colleagues to share experience and knowledge to provide customers with a high level of service delivery
  • Providing support to colleagues in the logistics department and to management when required.
  • Ensure the office areas are kept tidy and the notice board up to date.
