Established in 1985, Mekatek Limited has developed to become one of the major Recycling and Waste Management organisations in Wales.
We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator/Administration Assistant.
The weighbridge Operator/Administration Assistants are usually the first and last point of contact with Drivers, Contractors, Suppliers and Visitors, and therefore customer service skills are very important.
The right candidate must also have excellent organisational skills with paperwork and associated tasks involved with this role. You must be flexible with a “can do” attitude with the work provided or asked of you. Numeracy skills are a MUST with good computer literacy.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, weighing their load and recording data accurately.
  • Recording and calculating inputs and outputs, producing weighbridge tickets.
  • Liaising with customers, acting as first point of contact for a customer to resolve any issues/problems.
  • Inputting Data onto Internal Stock System
  • Producing Waste Collection / Delivery Notes / Drivers Sheets / Waste Transfer notes
  • Scanning documents and emailing to customers
  • Other general administrative duties as and when required
  • Answering the telephone and emails
  • Other duties as required
  • Developing knowledge of materials, containers and the recycling industry in general.
