Description TITLE: CREW WORKER PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION: The purpose of this classification is to perform unskilled to semi-skilled and manual labor work in the maintenance of the city. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Performs general laboring tasks. Participates in cleaning equipment and performing preventive maintenance; makes minor repairs to equipment. Operates a variety of trucks and equipment in performing tasks. Inspects equipment and assigned work area for safety hazards. Flags traffic. Observes all safety rules and guidelines. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: Performs other related duties as required. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
