The Medical Director of Medical Education acts as leader and Fraser Health organizational liaison for all medical education that is provided to medical students, residents and clinical fellows at Fraser Health, fostering excellence in clinical training, research and innovation in medical education, in collaboration with the Director, Medical Education Strategy and Integration and the Learning Strategies team. This role is a key enabler of Fraser Health’s medical staff strategy, strengthening the physician workforce through aligned medical learning, and recruitment into Fraser Health region and medical staff. The Medical Director is responsible and reports to the Vice President, Medicine. The incumbent will work closely with the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, School of Medicine at SFU, Heads of Departments and Divisions, post-graduate educational Program Directors and committees, the Executive leadership in Medical Affairs and in Learning Strategies to expand and enhance the delivery of educational programs such that trainees ideally choose to join Fraser Health medical staff.
