Strong customer service background with experience in administration, reception, and admissions, preferably in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Administration Officer provides essential reception, administrative, and clerical support to ensure the effective operation of the Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS). This role is responsible for coordinating bookings for planned elective surgical patients who meet ESIS criteria.
The Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting the implementation and documentation requirements of ESIS, while consistently demonstrating a high standard of communication and customer service, both in person and over the phone, to patients, visitors, and the broader community accessing Grampians Health Horsham.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify and update patient information, including Medicare and private insurance details, in line with Grampians Health policies

  • .Maintain accurate data entry within the Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS) and apply relevant access policies
  • .Liaise with patients to complete required documentation and ensure clarity and accuracy
  • .Collaborate with internal departments to support efficient and consistent data processes
  • .Coordinate and distribute documentation from surgeons and Visitin
  • gMedical Officers in a timely manner
  • .Support the team environment and undertake additional duties as directed by the Nurse Unit Manager.
