Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

John Fawkner Private Hospital is an administration officer to join our Emergency team on a Casual basis. You will play a key role working within our supportive team to ensure our patients have a positive experience during their care.
Example of shift times range from 7am- 3pm, 3pm- 11pm, 11pm- 7am.

AS AN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Greet all customers
  • Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage a busy Emergency Department reception desk
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Prepare admission paperwork
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Ability to work in Fast paced environment
  • Manage the collection of Emergency Department deposits, Health fund Excess/ co-payments and out of pocket fees
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
