Position: Full-time Administration Officer

Role Overview: Combined Trades Group is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join our team at our office in Carrington Road. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting trades personnel with day-to-day administrative tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in the trade industry who possess strong organisational skills, computer proficiency, and effective communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to tradesmen.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
- Coordinate schedules and appointments for trades personnel.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle general inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Process routine financial and administrative transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, expenses, timesheets, and related documentation
- Assist with staff administration, including onboarding documentation, leave records, training administration, and other routine employee-related processes where required.
- Assist with projects, audits, compliance activities, and administrative improvement initiatives
- Undertake other duties consistent with the classification and requirements of the position.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, action lists, and follow-up correspondence where required.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, documents, presentations, and other business materials
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the trade industry is desirable.
- Must be an Australian Citizen to be able to gain a Defence Clearance Pass to gain access to work site the Oakey Army Defence Base.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative.
- A proactive approach to work with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Work with general supervision while exercising initiative and judgement in routine matters
- Provide assistance to other team members and contribute to the effective operation of the work area.
