Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to deliver high-quality frontline customer service to patients and clients attending our Medical and Surgical Outpatient Departments. This role supports clinical teams by ensuring the smooth daily operation of clinics, managing waitlists and appointments, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with department leaders to ensure efficient service delivery, uphold NSW Health policies and procedures, and contribute to the optimisation of funding models. Strong time management and prioritisation skills are essential, along with a commitment to representing the department with professionalism in both presentation and attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting including reception duties, phone enquiries, appointment scheduling and data entry.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare eligibility and billing practices.
