Join Metro North Mental Health as an Administration Officer, providing vital administrative and secretarial support, coordinating referrals and clinical reviews, and helping deliver efficient, high-quality mental health services within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

About the role

The Administration Officer provides high-level administrative, secretarial and business support services to the multidisciplinary Mental Health Community team and Team Manager. Based within Metro North Mental Health, the role plays a key part in supporting clinical operations, coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient service delivery for consumers, carers and staff.

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of administrative functions including reception services, diary and meeting coordination, medical typing, referral processing, clinical documentation, asset and facility coordination, and data management across multiple Queensland Health systems. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering professional, customer-focused support within a busy mental health service environment.

  • Provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to managers, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, including correspondence, meeting coordination and diary management.
  • Deliver professional reception and customer service to consumers, carers, visitors and stakeholders while managing enquiries and directing requests appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate clinical, workforce and administrative records across Queensland Health information systems while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Coordinate business support functions including medical records management, document preparation, office resources, equipment maintenance and procurement activities.
  • Build effective working relationships and contribute to a positive team environment through professional communication, initiative and a strong customer service focus.
