ADMINISTRATION OFFICER – AGED & COMMUNITY CARE

Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Part Time (24 hours per week until July 2026) | $35.43 per hour + super
Are you ready to join a team that’s passionate about supporting our ageing community — and do it all while enjoying the lifestyle perks of one of Victoria’s most vibrant regional centres?
The Rural City of Wangaratta is seeking an organised, compassionate, and service-focused Administration Officer – Aged & Community Care. In this vital role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality aged and community care services that are safe, effective, and centred on the needs of the people we serve.
Whether you’re already in the aged care space or have strong admin experience and a heart for people — this is your chance to build a meaningful career that gives back to your community.

WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re looking for someone with the right balance of head and heart — strong technical admin skills, a love for organisation, and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of older people and carers.

  • Certificate IV in Business (Office Administration) or relevant experience
  • Experience in financial systems, data collation, and client databases
  • Great with time management, multitasking, and a strong attention to detail
  • High-level customer service skills with a positive, professional attitude
  • A current driver licence and satisfactory police record check
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • You’ll be the friendly, reliable admin backbone of our Aged & Community Care team. Every day, you’ll:
  • Respond to client and carer enquiries with empathy, accuracy, and respect
  • Keep client records, service agreements, and rosters up to date in care management systems
  • Manage purchase orders, process accounts for payment, and support financial compliance
  • Support aged care events like the Seniors Festival, promoting inclusion and wellbeing
  • Contribute to quality improvement and help refine our systems and service
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, including privacy and duty of care protocols
