KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Facilities section, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, drafting procedures and maintaining records.
  • Facility Management: Assist in the coordination and management of facility-related tasks, such as maintenance requests, procurement and liaising with contractors. Able to provide a security escort for contractors as required.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately enter data into relevant systems, generate reports and maintain up-to-date records of facility activities and inventories.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for facility-related inquiries, ensuring prompt and courteous responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Safety: Support the enforcement of safety protocols and ensure compliance with ARPANSA’s policies and procedures related to facility management.
  • Courier and Freight Activities: Coordinate and manage courier and freight activities, including the receipt, dispatch and tracking of packages and deliveries.

You must hold Australian citizenship and be prepared to travel interstate from time to time as required. ARPANSA requires all new employees to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance as a condition of engagement.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Administration Officer role is to support the effective and efficient operations of the Facilities section by providing high-quality administrative and clerical support. This includes managing daily office activities, handling inquiries, maintaining records and assisting with facility management tasks to ensure a safe and productive working environment. The role also provides backup support to other administrative team members as required.
